Kothagudem: In a day-light offence the outlawed CPI (Maoist) party cadres and its militia, six vehicles were sert on fire at a construction site at Chintaguppa village of Dummugudem mandal in the district on Tuesday.
According to sources the naxals sit fire to earth movers, concrete mixing machines and tractors at the site during evening hours. The machines were engaged in construction of a bridge near Chintaguppa village.
The incident took place under Dummugudem police station limits. It was the first such incident committed by the Maoists in the last two years in the district. The last time the Maoists committed an offence in the district was in 2019 in which they abducted and killed a TRS’ ex-MPTC member N Srinivas Rao of Bestha Kothur village of Cherla mandal in the district.
