Mancherial: A mass marathon meditation programme which lasted for 72 hours concluded at Gudipet village in Hajipur mandal on Thursday. Meena Gnaneshwar, a senior meditator from Zaheerabad town in Sangareddy district and a member of Pyramid Spiritual Society Movement (PSSM) led the programme and guided the meditators. The programme was aimed at creating awareness over meditation.
Gnaneshwar said that meditation was a scientifically proven technique to heal physically, mentally and emotionally. He stated that those who practise meditation could easily improve memory power, overcome insomnia and many other diseases. He added that one could abstain from addictions to smoking, liquor and many other bad habits by practising meditation for 30 minutes a day.
Large meditators and yoga practitioners of Mancherial town and neighbouring villages took part in the event.
