Hyderabad: Marri Laxman Reddy, chairman of Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology (MLRIT) and Marri Rajasekhar Reddy felicitated Telangana boxer Nikhat Zareen at their campus on Monday.

Nikhat Zareen has been selected in the Indian boxing team for the upcoming World Boxing Championships and Asian Games. Lauding the boxer, Rajashekhar Reddy said, “Hardwork and perseverance brought Nikhat to these heights and we are proud as she is the student of MLRIT”. Rajashekhar Reddy also announced financial aid of Rs 20,000 per month to the boxer till the 2024 Paris Olympics. Meanwhile, Laxman Reddy hoped many other students of the institute would have to take the boxer as inspiration to bring such achievements.
