Hyderabad: TRS party Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency incharge and Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology (MLRIT) secretary, Marri Rajasekhar Reddy distributed agricultural and other livelihood instruments for the upliftment of livelihood of of poor and needy, with his own funds.
Worth Rs 42 lakh, these instruments including oil milling machines, sugar cane grinding and other agriculture equipment and prepared by the MLRIT department of science and technology were handed over to the poor farmers by Rajasekhar Reddy and Labour Minister, Ch.Malla Reddy at Medchal Mandal Parishad office on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister congratulated Rajasekhar Reddy for taking the initiative and supporting economically backward farmers and equipping them with machinery.
Rajasekhar said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been taking up many initiatives for the welfare of the farmers. “I am doing my bit to the society through MLRIT College. It will support the rural economy in longer run,” he said.
Medchal Municipal chairman Deepika Narasimha Reddy, Medchal Mandal Parishad president Padma Jagan Reddy, Medchal ZPTC Shailaja Reddy and other participated.
