Massive fire at chemical unit in Sangareddy’s Gaddapotharam
A massive fire broke out at Neutral Chemicals Limited in Gaddapotharam, Sangareddy, on Friday afternoon, forcing workers to flee as attempts to douse the flames failed. Fire tenders were deployed to prevent the blaze from spreading to neighbouring industries.
Sangareddy: A massive fire broke out at Neutral Chemicals Limited located in Gaddapotharam municipality on Friday afternoon. The workers escaped to safety within minutes as their efforts to control the fire proved futile. No casualties were reported.
The fire tenders were rushed to the site to control the fire from spreading to other parts of the industry and neighbouring industries. As the smoke emanated for several hours, the fire accident created panic among the residents and the industrial workers.
The management said that they suffered an estimated loss of Rs 3 crore loss approximately due to the fire accident. However, the management could not disclose the cause of the fire.
