Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out in Kondapur on Saturday, triggering panic in the area. The blaze erupted suddenly at a scrap warehouse located near My Home Mangala Apartments.
According to preliminary information, the warehouse was storing thermocol and other combustible materials used for film shootings, which caused the fire to spread rapidly and intensify. Thick plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the site, alarming nearby residents.
Fire and rescue personnel rushed to the spot soon after receiving the alert and brought the flames under control. No casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is on.
