Mavericks beat All Stars in tie-breaker to win inaugural Hyderabad Pickleball League
Credicon Mavericks clinched the inaugural Hyderabad Pickleball League title with a 4-3 tie-breaker win over All Stars. The finale also honoured standout players, with Sameer Varma named MVP, marking a milestone for pickleball’s growth in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Credicon Mavericks won the inaugural edition of the Hyderabad Pickleball League with a thrilling 4-3 win via tie-breaker against All Stars at The League in Financial District here.
The Mavericks collected a winner’s purse of Rs 6 lakhs, while All Stars received Rs 3 lakhs.
Yashwanth Biyyala, Co-Founder of Centre Court Sport & Entertainment and the Hyderabad Pickleball League, said, “This finale captured everything HPL stands for — intensity, community and entertainment. Watching the match go down to a tie-breaker in front of nearly 2,000 passionate fans was truly special. Credicon Mavericks becoming our first champions marks the beginning of a strong sporting legacy for pickleball in Hyderabad.”
The night also celebrated standout individual performances across the league. Vijay Tej of Teramor Titans was named Rising Star (Male), while Veda from All Stars received the Rising Star (Female) award. Nikhil of Teramor Titans was honoured as Best Male Player, and Niharika from The Raptors took home the Best Female Player award. The coveted Most Valuable Player (MVP) title was awarded to Sameer Varma of All Stars for his consistent impact throughout the season.
Sharing his thoughts on being named MVP, Sameer Varma said, “Being recognised as MVP in the inaugural season of HPL is extremely special. This league has given players a professional platform to compete at a high level while connecting with fans and the community. The energy at the finals and the support for pickleball make HPL a truly unique experience, and I’m proud to be part of this journey.”
