Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has opened admissions into its two-year full-time MBA programme for the academic session 2022-24.

The MBA programme which is being offered by the School of Management Studies is aimed at grooming well-rounded managers and equipping them with expertise both in functional as well as intra and inter-personal areas.

This four-semester course approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has a total of 60 seats. During the first two semesters, core and foundation courses are offered. In the second year, students can choose a specialisation in two selected areas of their interest.

The specialisations offered are marketing, finance, operations, human resources, entrepreneurship, business analytics and banking. Students can take up specializations through electives and project work which is spread over two semesters.

To get practical exposure, students have to undertake eight weeks of internship in an organisation during the summer intervening between the second and third semesters. The course has a good placement track record too.

Admissions will be based on the scores secured in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021.

The applicants should have a minimum three-year first-class bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with a minimum of 60 per cent marks in any discipline recognised by the University Grants Commission/the Association of India Universities/AICTE.

The degree should be obtained on or before June 2022. Students completing their final examinations by June 2022 can also apply. The application fee is Rs 600 for general category candidates, while it is Rs 550 for EWS, Rs 400 for OBC and Rs 275 for SC/ST/PwD (PH) categories. The registration is underway and the last date to submit the application form is January 31.

Applicants will be shortlisted for the group discussion/interviews on the basis of the CAT 2021 scores. The classwork will commence in the month of July 2022. More information can be obtained from the university website http://acad.uohyd.ac.in/.
