Hyderabad: Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) on Wednesday in a key notification for MBBS/BDS admitted candidates in Telangana has clarified that the one-time options exercised by candidates for all medical colleges as per their priority are final and they cannot be modified.

The university has received several representations with regard to MBBS/BDS admissions under Competent Authority Quota from candidates who were allotted seats in the first phase of counselling and who have joined the course.

“It is hereby clarified that the admissions are conducted in accordance with the present Government Orders (GO Ms 114 and 187) and relevant High Court orders,” the KNRUHS in the notification said.

“The one time options exercised by candidates will be final and cannot be modified. They will be considered for subsequent phases of counselling. Candidates will be allotted seats as per the priority and the existing allotment will be cancelled if their better option is allotted,” KNRUHS clarified.

“Candidates cannot retain a seat if their better option is allotted and candidate has to compulsorily join as per their allotment in subsequent phases of counselling. There is no option for the candidates to retain their allotted seat in any phase. It is not possible to consider the request to University to retain the seat or non-consideration of their option in subsequent phases of counselling,” the notification from the Health university said.

Candidates can discontinue from the course in which they were allotted without any penalty and entire tuition fee is refundable till the last date of free exit to be notified by the university in their website.
