Hyderabad: Ideologue of Most Backward Classes (MBCs) and progressive activist Kolapudi Prasad passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Sunday night. He was suffering from an illness for sometime and was admitted in a private hospital where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment.
Prasad who hails from Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh, has worked for the upliftment of MBC community in both the Telugu States. The family members said the cause of death was blood clots developed in the blood vessels of his brain. He is survived by his wife Nirmal and a daughter.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao condoled the death of ideologue of Most Backward Classes (MBCs) and progressive activist Kolapudi Prasad, also known as Kopra. He stated that with the untimely demise of Prasad, the MBC community lost an intellect who worked tirelessly for the values he believed in. He conveyed his condolences to the members of Prasad’s family.
