Hyderabad: The Majlis Bachao Tehreek party spokesperson Amjedullah Khan, targeted the Muslim religious leaders for failing to represent to the Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, about the attacks on Muslim religious places and people of the community in the State.

“Since the Congress government came to power in the State two years ago, there have been 53 communal incidents across the State. Places of religious significance were targeted and Muslims attacked in various parts of the State on pretext of transporting cows, and offering namaz,” he said.

A delegation of Muslim religious leaders and heads of Muslim socio-religious groups met Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy recently to show their support for the Congress party in the ensuing Jubilee Hills by-election.

“Had the leaders raised the issue with the Chief Minister, it would have been worth visiting him. Simply going and nodding heads in front of Chief Minister will further increase the atrocities on Muslims in the State,” said Amjedullah Khan.

He said that in the Kondagal assembly constituency represented by the Chief Minister, a couple of graveyards were demolished for road widening recently, and Muslims who protested were arrested. In Jainoor Asifabad, four mosques were damaged in the attack by the vested interests. “All this happened only after the Congress came to power in the State,” he said.

The MBT spokesperson also targeted the AIMIM party for supporting the Congress in Jubilee Hills and opposing the same party in Bihar. “The double game of the Congress party and the AIMIM is exposed. Both parties have joined hands to fool the Muslims in Telangana,” said Amjedullah Khan.
