HYDERABAD: For Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni it was one of those “memorable” souvenirs which would have surely taken him down memory lane!
Soon after CSK lost to Mumbai Indians in the IPL match at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday night, Mumbai Cricket Association president Anjinkya Naik presented to the legend Dhoni a coffee table book celebrating 50 glorious years of Wankhede Stadium.
“The book captures the iconic legacy of Wankhede, featuring unforgettable moments from MSD’s incredible journey at this historic venue,” the MCA chief said.
It may not be out of place for it was here in 2011 when Dhoni hit that most “unforgettable” six to to signal India’s win against against Sri Lanka in the World Cup final in style and trigger a wave of emotions, not just in the stands at the venue but also across the world for millions of Indians.
Ajinkya said it was an honour to present the book to such a great player whose contribution to the sport was amazing.
