Nalgonda: Following complaints lodged by BJP and CPI(M) leaders with the Returning Officer of Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduates MLC elections on violation of model code of conduct by the TRS candidate, municipal authorities on Tuesday removed the flags and flexi banners set up by TRS in Nalgonda.

TRS leaders set up flexi banners and flags of the party along the route of the rally taken out on the occasion of TRS candidate Palla Rajeshwar Reddy filing his nomination papers.


Responding to the complaints, the Returning Officer instructed the officials of Nalgonda municipality to remove the flexi banners and hoardings which were in violation of model code of conduct.

BJP state executive member Nukala Narsimha Reddy gave a written complaint about the violation.

In a press note, CPI(M) district secretary Mudireddy Sudhakar Reddy said the officials removed flexi banners of the TRS only near the district Collectorate when they brought the violation of model code of conduct to the notice of the Returning Officer. Moreover, the TRS leaders were also used DJs during their rally which was not permitted as per rules, he said.
