Md Siraj to lead Hyderabad in Ranji Trophy as Tanmay Agarwal ruled out

India pacer Md Siraj will captain Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy matches against Mumbai and Chhattisgarh. Opener Tanmay Agarwal is ruled out with a back injury, while K Nitesh Reddy is sidelined due to an eye issue

Hyderabad: India fast bowler Md Siraj will lead Hyderabad in the coming matches of the Ranji Trophy cricket championship.

Hyderabad take on Mumbai at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium here from January 22 and then Chhattisgarh from January 29.


Hyderabad’s most consistent batter and opener Tanmay Agarwal has been ruled out of the match because of a back injury, while another regular, K Nitesh Reddy, is not included due to an eye issue.

The team: Md Siraj (capt), G Rahul Singh (vice-capt), CV Milind, Pranav Varma, K Rohit Rayudu, K Himateja, A Varun Goud, M Abhirath Reddy, Rahul Radesh (wk), P Aman Rao, CTL Rakshann Readdi, P Nitish Reddy, Sai Pragnay Reddy (wk) and B Punnaiah.

Stand-byes: Mickil Jaiswal, A Avanish Rao (wk), Kartikeya Kak, Ashish Srivastav and HK Simha.
