Medak: Four of a family killed in road accident while heading to vote
Four members of a family from Kamareddy district were killed in a road accident on NH 161 at Pedda Shankarampet in Medak on Saturday night. The victims, who had been residing in Hyderabad, were travelling to their native village to cast their votes in the gram panchayat elections on Sunday.

Medak: Four members of a family were killed in a road accident on NH 161 at Pedda Shankarampet on Saturday night while they were travelling to their native village to exercise their franchise in the second phase of gram panchayat elections scheduled for Sunday.
The victims were identified as Kurma Lingamaiah (45), his wife Sayavva (40), and their children Sai (18) and Manasa (8), natives of Magi village in Nizam Sagar mandal of Kamareddy district. The family was residing in Hyderabad.
According to police, the family was travelling on a two-wheeler when an unidentified vehicle rammed into them. All four died on the spot due to severe injuries and profuse bleeding.
The bodies were shifted to the government hospital in Jogipet for postmortem examination. Police registered a case and said efforts were on to identify the vehicle involved in the accident.
