Medak: A man drowned after slipping into an open agriculture well while harvesting custard apples at Gollakunta Thanda in Alladurg mandal. The victim was identified as Barmavath Jairam (28).
Police said Jairam had gone to the fields on Sunday to collect custard apples but did not return home. His family members began searching and found his body in the well on the outskirts of the village on Monday. Villagers later retrieved the body.
He is survived by his wife and three children. Police have registered a case.
