Siddipet: Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, who has inaugurated multiple paddy procurement centres across Dubbak Assembly Constituency in Siddipet and Medak districts on Monday, said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was the only Chief Minister in the country to take up the gigantic task of paddy procurement of paddy from farmers overcoming many challenges thrown by Covid-19 and Centre’s non-cooperation.
Addressing the farmers after inaugurating paddy procurement centre in Dubbak, the Medak MP said that Telangana was the only State to initiate multiple schemes and projects to back the farmer in the country. Saying that the Chief Minister initiated Rythu Bandu and Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS), Reddy said that the farmers in Telangana had water to irrigate diverse crops and money for investment. Giving no scope for any inconvenience in selling their produce, he said that they had set up an increased number of procurement centres across the State as Telangana got the highest paddy harvest ever this Yasangi.
Stating that the Chief Minister simply wanted to make farming profitable, Reddy hailed K Chandrashekhar Rao as a modern day Bagiratha (Apara Bagiratha) for making the rivers and streams flow during the midsummer by lifting water from river Godavari. The MP participated in multiple programmes across Dubbak Constituency on Monday. MLA M Raghunandan Rao and others were present.
