Medak police return 110 lost and stolen phones to owners

SP D V Srinivas Rao handed over 110 recovered mobile phones to citizens in Medak. The devices, worth Rs. 15.34 lakh, were traced through police efforts. The SP urged citizens to register CEIR complaints and lock UPI accounts immediately after losing their phones

Medak: SP D V Srinivas Rao handed over 110 mobile phones, either lost by citizens or stolen, to their owners during a programme in Medak on Monday. The recovered handsets are valued at Rs. 15.34 lakh.

Srinivas Rao said the police had recovered 1,734 mobile phones so far this year. He advised citizens to immediately register complaints on the CEIR portal if they lose their phones to enable quick tracking and recovery. He also urged people to lock their UPI accounts promptly in case of mobile phone loss. The SP appreciated the IT core team for its efforts in tracing and returning the devices.
