Medak: Tribal woman found tied to tree after alleged rape near Edupayala temple road
A tribal woman from Medak mandal was found unconscious and tied to a tree near Edupayala temple road after allegedly being raped and assaulted. Locals alerted the police, who shifted her to hospital.

Medak: In a shocking incident, a tribal woman, mother of five children, was found tied to a tree in an unconscious state near Pothamsettipally–Edupayala temple road in Kulcharam mandal on Saturday.
Unidentified persons allegedly assaulted and stripped the woman after raping her. She sustained serious injuries all over her body. The victim, a daily-wage labourer from a tribal thanda in Medak mandal, used to travel to Medak town every day for work but failed to return home on Friday.
Locals, who found her in an unconscious state on Saturday morning, alerted the Kulcharam police. The police rushed to the spot and shifted her to the government hospital in Medak, where she is undergoing treatment.
Superintendent of Police DV Srinivas Rao said they were waiting for the victim to regain consciousness and added that her condition was stable and there was no threat to her life.
The incident has left residents in and around the Edupayala temple area in shock and raised concerns over the safety of women and devotees visiting the temple.
