Medak: Two persons sentenced to life imprisonment in murder case
Unable to repay the amount borrowed from the victim, the convicts invited him to a party in the district in Telangana and murdered him
Medak: The Medak court convicted two persons for life on Monday in a murder case reported in Medak district in 2019.
According to Papannapet police, the convicts Kolan Ramakrishna (46), a resident of Kistareddypet and Kommu Prasad (34), a resident of Beeramguda in Ameenpur mandal, had borrowed some amount from victim Donthi Narayana, a resident of Kistareddypet. Unable to clear the debt, the duo invited him to a party at Sri Vana Durga Bhavani temple, Edupayala in Papannapet mandal and murdered him by slitting his throat. Following a complaint, the Papannpet police registered a case and produced the accused before the court.
Principal District and Sessions Judge P Lakshmi Sarada pronounced her verdict on Monday after hearing the arguments from both sides. The judge also imposed Rs 15,000 fine on the convicts.
