Medak woman killed as lightning strikes; son injured
A 38-year-old woman was killed after being struck by lightning while grazing cattle at Tirumalapur in Narsapur mandal, Medak district, on Sunday. Her 12-year-old son, who was nearby, sustained injuries.

Medak: Lightning struck a woman, leading to her instant death at Tirumalapur in Narsapur mandal on Sunday.
The woman V. Saritha (38) was grazing her cattle on the outskirts of the village when the area witnessed rains coupled with thunderstorms. Her 12-year-old son was just a few metres away when lightning struck her.
The boy also sustained injuries due to impact. It was the third such death reported in the erstwhile Medak in the last four days. The police registered a case.
