Hyderabad: A man was murdered allegedly by his younger brother and a cousin brother over family issues at Medchal on Sunday afternoon.

According to B Srinivas Reddy, ACP Medchal said the victim Umesh (25) lived along with his parents and siblings at Medchal. The father of Umesh works as RTC driver and they are natives of Kamareddy district.

On Sunday, there was a quarrel in the house when the younger brother of Umesh, came home in an inebriated condition and quarrelled with his mother and sister. Umesh intervened and reprimanded his brother due to which he started attacking him.

“Umesh to escape from his brother and cousin ran out of the house. But the two persons chased and stabbed him to death on the main road,” said B Srinivas Reddy.

On information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body for autopsy to mortuary. A case is registered. Special teams are formed to nab the suspects, said the official.
