Medchal police arrest youth for selling Odisha-sourced cannabis
The Medchal police arrested a youth for allegedly possessing and selling cannabis sourced from Odisha. About 2 kg of marijuana worth ₹1 lakh and a mobile phone were seized, while efforts are under way to trace his absconding associate and uncover the larger drug network.

Hyderabad: The Medchal police busted a drug supply racket and arrested a youth for allegedly possessing and selling cannabis sourced from Odisha on Tuesday.
The arrested accused was identified as Alok Sarkar, a native of Odisha, who was residing at Kistapur and working in a private company. He was allegedly selling marijuana while living in the area.
During interrogation, Alok reportedly revealed that the contraband was being procured from Odisha with the help of his associate Sohail, who allegedly arranged the supply.
Sohail is currently absconding, and police said efforts were on to trace and nab him and also identify the wider network involved in the illegal drug trade.
Around 2 kg of marijuana worth Rs 1 lakh and a mobile phone were seized.
