Hyderabad: Congress Legislative Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka condemned the reports published in the media regarding party’s Huzarabad by-poll review held in New Delhi, saying the meeting had passed off with meaningful discussions.

“Reports published in the media regarding the party meeting are false and are far from truth. The briefing given by us after the meeting has all the information,” said Vikramarka at a press conference here on Sunday.

He accompanied TPCC president A Revanth Reddy in offering floral tributes to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary at Gandhi Bhavan here.

Addressing on the occasion, the TPCC president said Congress had only deferred its Praja Chaitanya Yatra and had not cancelled the campaign.

He demanded the State government to allocate special funds in the budget for paddy procurement. “Both State and Central Governments are deceiving farmers and enacting dramas regarding paddy procurement, “charged Revanth Reddy.

He also found fault with District Collectors for permitting TRS protests in the State and denying permission for Congress party programmes. “The issue will be taken up with Election Commission and protests will be staged before State Election Commission,” Revanth Reddy said.
