HYDERABAD: Ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s proposed meeting with high command, AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan’s meeting with a few leaders has triggered speculations in Gandhi Bhavan.

Along with her AICC colleagues, including PC Vishnunath and Viswanathan Perumal, Natarajan held a closed door meeting with nearly 30 leaders from different constituencies.

TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, PRRD Minister D Anasuya, former Minister Indrakaran Reddy, Khanapur MLA Vedma Bhojju and others also attended the meeting.

While leaders said it was an Adilabad Parliamentary constituency review meeting, party sources informed that it was more than the regular interaction. Apart from feedback on a few issues, Natarajan also asked the leaders whether they were prepared to take up additional burden for the party’s cause, they said.

She has already held meetings with Medak, Malkajgiri, Peddapally parliamentary constituency leaders besides others.

There is a speculation in the party that she is likely to submit a preliminary report on the party affairs to the high command.

Further, with many aspiring berths in the cabinet expansion, nominated posts and TPCC committees designations, the AICC incharge’s meeting has created a buzz in the party.

The Chief Minister is visiting New Delhi yet again on Friday and Saturday.

Apart from attending a private programme, he is expected to meet the AICC high command and discuss a few issues, including finalization of candidates for MLC elections under the MLAs quota.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister meeting former Minister K Jana Reddy at his residence early in the day added fuel to the speculations.

It may be recalled that the TPCC president had appealed to senior leaders, including Jana Reddy, Geetha Reddy and others to regularly attend party meetings in Gandhi Bhavan and monitor the affairs in the party.
