Meerpet murder case: Three detained, prime suspect questioned over rowdy-sheeter’s killing
Meerpet Police have detained three persons, including the prime suspect, in the murder of rowdy-sheeter Nandanavanam Suri. Investigators are probing an alleged Instagram Live session in which the suspect reportedly claimed responsibility. Police believe the killing stemmed from an old personal rivalry.

Hyderabad: The Meerpet Police have detained three persons, including the prime suspect, in connection with the murder of rowdy sheeter Nandanavanam Suri alias Dasari Suri.
The suspects are currently being questioned as investigators continue to probe the case.
According to police sources, the prime suspect, Afroz alias Salman, and two others were taken into custody hours after the fatal attack. The trio is being interrogated to establish the sequence of events and the involvement of any additional persons in the murder.
Prime suspect goes live on Instagram:
Afroz reportedly appeared on an Instagram live session soon after the killing and made sensational claims. He allegedly claimed responsibility for Suri’s murder during the live broadcast and also used abusive language while referring to the police. The video is said to have gone viral on social media, prompting investigators to examine its authenticity and whether it can be used as evidence in the case.
Meanwhile, the police suspect an old personal rivalry drove the murder. Suri, a rowdy-sheeter with multiple criminal cases, was allegedly lured to the TKR College area before being attacked with knives on Monday night.
Police believe the killing was pre-planned as an act of revenge. They are expected to gather digital evidence, including the alleged Instagram Live video, as part of the case.
