Born in 1981 to Kandakatla Buchamma and Kandakatla Krishna Reddy, Siddu grew up understanding the struggles of economic hardship. His mother supported the family by selling vegetables, instilling in him a deep respect for hard work and a commitment to uplifting others. Inspired by his humble beginnings, Reddy pursued education in his hometown before establishing Kandakatla’s KSR Projects, a business that has enabled him to channel resources into philanthropy.
Education as a Sacred Mission
In a groundbreaking initiative, recently Siddu Reddy Kandakatla is building a school inspired by temple architecture. For him, education is not just a necessity but a sacred mission. “Education is the most powerful tool we can offer to the next generation. A school should not just be a place for learning but a sanctuary where young minds can flourish with dignity and respect,” he says passionately.
Reddy’s focus on education took root in 2014 when a television program revealed the dilapidated condition of a government school in Siddanthi Basti, Shamshabad. The sight of children struggling in overcrowded classrooms with inadequate resources moved him deeply.
“I saw myself in those children. Growing up, I understood the power of education to break cycles of poverty. I knew I had to step in,” recalls Reddy.
He renovated the school, introduced English-medium education, and upgraded its facilities, benefiting around 200 students who had been underserved for years. His efforts didn’t stop there. Reddy expanded his work by founding new educational institutions, including a girls-only school, Kasturba Gandhi Patashala, in Palamakul village.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to dream big and chase those dreams. My mission is to ensure that no child is left behind simply because of their circumstances,” he emphasizes.
Supporting Communities in Need
Reddy’s compassion goes far beyond education. He has consistently supported marginalized communities through a variety of welfare programs. His initiatives include providing mobility scooters to individuals with disabilities and donating auto rickshaws to families in financial distress.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, his contributions were a lifeline for many. From distributing groceries and hygiene kits to arranging transport for stranded workers, Reddy’s efforts embodied his unwavering commitment to his community.
“When the pandemic struck, it was not just about providing material support. It was about standing in solidarity with those who needed it the most. Every act of kindness can make a difference,” he reflects.
Reddy also offered financial aid to families who had lost their livelihoods, enabling them to rebuild their lives. His actions during this time were widely praised, cementing his reputation as a compassionate leader who acts swiftly in times of crisis.
Building Homes for the Elderly and Empowering the Youth
Siddhu Reddy Kandakatla is making a difference in the lives of the elderly by building an old age home in Nizamabad that will house 40 senior citizens. This project is close to his heart, which aims to create a safe and caring space for those in their golden years. Speaking about this initiative, he said, “Our elders are our roots, and they deserve a peaceful and respectful life. This home is my way of ensuring they feel valued and cared for.”
At the same time, he’s equally focused on empowering the youth. Siddhu has organized multiple job fairs in Hyderabad, helping young people find meaningful employment. Taking it a step further, he even hosted a job fair in Dubai, giving Indian job seekers a platform to explore opportunities abroad.
Recognized for Impactful Contributions
Siddu’s dedication to social causes has earned him significant recognition. In 2024, he was honored at the Malaysian Telangana Association’s decennial celebrations in Kuala Lumpur, where a documentary highlighting his work was screened. That same year, he received the Emerging ISR Leader Award at the ISR Leadership Summit in London.
“These awards are not just accolades for me—they are reminders of the work that still lies ahead. They inspire me to keep pushing boundaries and finding innovative ways to help those in need,” says Reddy.
