Megastar Chiranjeevi offers timely help to needy film artistes

Hyderabad: Megastar Chiranjeevi offered financial help to Kollywood actor Ponnambalam who underwent kidney transplant. He transferred an amount of Rs 2 lakh to Ponnambalam towards medical expenses.

In reply, Ponnambalam released a video clip in which he thanked the Megastar for the timely help. “Namaskaram to Chiranjeevi annayya. The amount you had sent me has come in handy. I will never forget your help. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Jai Sriram,” the artiste said.


In another news, Chiranjeevi has decided to set up oxygen banks in both the Telugu States. It’s learned that Chiranjeevi will reach out to people who are in need of oxygen. His son Ram Charan will steer the mission.

Recently, the Megastar also helped senior character artiste Pavala Shyamala with Rs 1 lakh. Shyamala who acted in a number of blockbuster movies, is now left with no work and she has been staying in a rented house at SR Nagar. Knowing her financial condition, Chiru offered monetary help
