MEIL imports three cryogenic oxygen tanks for Andhra Pradesh
On Tuesday, a defence special flight from Singapore landed with tankers at 6 pm at Pangarh Air Force Station in West Bengal.

Hyderabad: Engineering company MEIL imported three cryogenic oxygen tanks from Singapore and handed over to Andhra Pradesh government. Each cryogenic tank could supply 1.4 crore litre of medical oxygen.

On Tuesday, a defence special flight from Singapore landed with tankers at 6 pm at Pangarh Air Force Station in West Bengal. Tanks were moved in special vehicles to Durgapur Steel Factory, which is 35 km away, for filling tanks with oxygen.

It was agreed oxygen produced in that steel plant is allocated to Andhra Pradesh. These tanks will be transported via rail and will reach Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday night or Thursday morning, said P Rajesh Reddy, MEIL Vice-President, in a press release.
