MEIL to construct Young India Skills University in Hyderabad
MEIL has announced funds worth Rs.200 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for construction of the Young India Skills University campus
A team of MEIL representatives led by Managing Director Krishna Reddy met with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat here on Saturday.
On the occasion, the University entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Government for the construction of buildings.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and University Vice Chancellor VLVSS Subbarao.
The Chief Minister had broken the ground for construction of the Skills University on 57 acres of land near Meerkhanpet in Kandukur mandal in August this year.
Megha Managing Director Krishna Reddy said that the company would also construct hostel buildings along with academic buildings, workshops and classrooms.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to finalize the building designs within a week and make arrangements to commence construction from November 8.
