‘Meka Suri 2’ wows again

Trinadh Velisala is happy about the series garnering good response from viewers on ZEE5 

Meka Suri, the raw and rustic web series, premiered on ZEE5 in July this year had impressed the Telugu audiences. Thanks to its realistic content, now the makers have come up with Meka Suri 2, which is also receiving good response from the viewers. Produced by Karthik Kancherla of Simba Entertainment, Meka Suri 2 stars Sumaya and Abhinay as the lead pair.

Trinadh Velisala, who worked as an associate director for Mosagallaki Mosagadu and Okka Kshanam, and as an assistant writer for Brother Of Bommali, is elated for the response from the netizens.

“Since the first part was successful and got critical acclaim, expectations from the second part were high too. Prajwal Krish, who had worked on Saroja (Kannada) in the past, has composed the music.

The response that we are getting is tremendous. It’s about the story of Suri, 6’3” feet, a skilled butcher. A popular figure in his village for the skill that he has, Suri is called by the name meka. He falls for the village girl Rani, one of the beautiful girls in the village.

After they get married, the turn of events and the murder of Rani forms the premise of the story. The second version of the story has a lot many layers to offer,” Trinadh says.
