Mental health awareness week to be held at Gandhi Hospital from October 4

Gandhi Hospital has unveiled an awareness poster ahead of World Mental Health Week, with a series of events scheduled from October 4 to 10. The programmes are being organised jointly by PPAI and Navabharat Lions Club, District 310A.

Hyderabad: In the lead-up to World Mental Health Week, State-run Gandhi Hospital unveiled the official awareness poster on Thursday at the hospital premises.

The awareness events on mental health, scheduled to be held from October 4 to October 10, are being organised jointly by the Progressive Psychologists Association of India (PPAI) and the Navabharat Lions Club, District 310A.


Dr Hypno Padma Kamlakar, Director of Mind and Personality Care, said a series of awareness programmes have been lined up for the week-long observance.

The poster related to World Mental Health Week was released on Thursday by the hospital’s senior administrative staff, including Gandhi Hospital Superintendent Dr T Usha Rani, Deputy Superintendent Dr K Sunil Kumar and senior doctors.
