Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A 75-year-old man was washed away in the gushing waters of a stream between Goyagam village and Vijayanagaram villages in Tiryani mandal on Sunday. The incident came to light on Monday.
Tiryani Sub-Inspector P Rama Rao said the deceased was identified as Regonda Kishtaiah (75), owner of a groceries store and native of Gambheerraopet village.
Kishtaiah met with the watery grave while he was crossing the swollen stream. He was returning home at the time of the mishap. He informed his son Satheesh before starting from Goyagam at around 7 pm. Satheesh spotted the body while he was searching for his father in the night.
The merchant is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.
