Hyderabad: With reduced intensity compared to Friday, the sun on Saturday blazed away in six districts in Telangana, with the mercury staying beyond the 40 degree Celsius mark. According to the IMD-Hyderabad data, the highest day temperature of the State on Saturday was recorded at Medak at 42.9 degree Celius followed by Nizamabad (41.5 degree Celsius), Adilabad (41.3 degree Celsius), Ramagundam (40.6 degree Celsius) and Bhadrachalam (40.2 degree Celsius). Adilabad in particular had considerable relief on Saturday with the day temperatures dropping by 3.3 degree Celsius when compared to Friday’s 44.6 degree Celsius.

Nights in Telangana also continue to remain warmer with the minimum temperatures refusing to provide any reprieve for the denizens. While Friday night logged in 30.2 degree Celsius, Nizamabad had a minimum temperature recording of 28.1

The forecast for Sunday for several districts looks at the day temperatures staying below the 40 degree Celsius mark with the exception being districts of Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal and Nizambad where the day could be hot with temperatures ranging between 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, the hottest spot of Hyderabad on Friday was Jubilee Hills where the day temperature zoomed past 42 degree Celsius mark while areas such Santoshnagar, Karwan, Mehdipatnam, Chandanagar were closer with 41.9 degree Celsius.

The weather forecast for the city too looks at the possibilities of the day temperatures coming down a little and hopefully be around the 40 degree Celsius mark next couple of days. Light rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds are expected towards the evening or night.
