Hyderabad: A student of Meru International School D Jayanth has won two bronze medals at the national Finswimming Championship organised by Underwater Swimming Federation of India and affiliated with the Swimming Federation of India(SFI). The event was held in Ponda, Goa.
Jayanth represented Telangana State in the Under-17 years’ category and had to qualify as top eight swimmers in 12 heats to secure the bronze medal. Around 800 players across 25 States participated in the competition, a press release said adding that Jayanth is practising now for the competitions to be conducted at the south zone national and CBSE competitions.
