Hyderabad: Social media giant Facebook appears to have run into a little bit of embarrassment after the logo for its rebranded avatar, Meta, appeared to have, to put it mildly, ‘a lot of resemblance’, with that of Berlin-based migraine app M-sense Migraine.

Newsenselab, which developed M-sense, hasn’t said it is going to move court over what looks like an apparent case of logo plagiarism, but at the moment, is enjoying with quite a few stinging digs at Zuckerberg. And the internet is loving it.

In a series of tweets, the pinned one said it all. “We are very honoured that @facebook felt inspired by the logo of our migraine app – maybe they’ll get inspired by our data privacy procedures as well,” (sic) M-sense said.

When a Twitter user, Liam Kent, tweeted wishing everyone good morning, ‘especially to the person at @msense_app who collected Zuckerberg’s entire soul, crushed it, and delivered it to LinkedIn’, M-sense replied with this: “What can you do in a situation like that but poke fun at it!”

Twitterati joined in, tearing apart Facebook with jibes at Zuckerberg’s much criticized privacy policies, or the lack of those, with some saying that with their experience of migraines, they could ‘confirm that Facebook privacy policies too were a major headache.

M-sense too kept taking the game right into Zuckerberg’s court, which has been silent so far, with this:

“We’ve been told this rebrand to @Meta is causing Mr. Zuckerberg a big migraine — we can help! Just download our app.” (sic)

As the migraine attack keeps getting intense, it remains to be seen how and if its cousin logo, all blue now, will respond.
