Hyderabad: Former England captain Michael Vaughan continues to take a dig at the BCCI and Indian cricket team. He started off with his criticism of pitches earlier in the Test series which India had won 3-1 to qualify for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand.
When England won the T20 series opener in Ahmedabad, he criticised the Indian team saying that the IPL team Mumbai Indians are stronger than the national team. “The @mipaltan are a better T20 team than @BCCI !!! #JustSaying #INDvENG,” he had written after the first T20.
However, India leveled the series with a thumping victory in the second T20 and handed the debut caps to Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan, who represent Mumbai Indians. He then took to Twitter saying, “I see @BCCI have taken the advice & got more @mipaltan players involved … Very smart move … #INDvsENG”.
“The @mipaltan were too good for England today … #INDvENGt20,” he wrote in another tweet.
Meanwhile, his former colleague Kevin Pietersen lauded Kohli who scored an unbeaten 73. “Another not out in a chase for India to win the game for his team – @imVkohli,” he wrote.
