Migrant worker killed, five injured as wall collapses at convention hall in Hyderabad
A 50-year-old migrant worker from Odisha was killed and five others injured when a wall at V Convention Hall in Gundlapochampally, Pet Basheerabad, collapsed early Monday following heavy rains. The victims were residing in tin sheds near the structure.

Hyderabad: A migrant worker was killed and five others suffered serious injuries after a wall collapsed at V Convention Hall at Gundlapochampally in Pet Basheerabad on Monday early hours.
As per available information, the incident had occurred around 3:30 am reportedly following heavy overnight rains.
The victim identified as Gagan (50), construction worker and a native of Odisha, died on the spot. The injured persons were rushed to CMR Hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were migrant labourers employed at a ready-mix plant owned by Aparna Constructions. They had been residing in temporary tin sheds erected adjacent to the convention hall wall that collapsed under the impact of the rains.
The Pet Basheerabad police have registered a case and are probing the circumstances leading to the mishap.
