Migrant worker strangled to death by colleagues at Mancherial brick kiln
A 30-year-old migrant worker from Odisha was allegedly strangled to death by three colleagues at a brick kiln near Chennur following a drunken brawl. The dispute reportedly arose over remarks made to his wife. Police have registered a murder case.
Mancherial: A 30-year-old migrant dailywage worker was brutally murdered allegedly by his colleagues at a brick kiln on the outskirts of Chennur town late on Sunday night.
Police said that Jithender from Odisha was strangles to death by his three colleagues, following a brawl over some petty issue at the worksite. Jithinder picked up an argument with the three faulting them for speaking to his wife. The three in turn attacked him and killed him. All of them were in inebriated condition at the time of the incident.
Some of his other colleagues alerted the police who rushed to the kiln and shifted the body to a government hospital in Chennur town for conducting post-mortum. Based on a complaint received from wife of Jithender, a case was registered agains the three migrant laborers of Odisha.
