Hyderabad: A coordination meeting was held by the city police along with the other government departments and Muslim religious heads at the Salar Jung Museum on Saturday in view of Milad-un-Nabi celebrations.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar interacted with the community leaders and explained about steps being taken by the police to ensure discipline and security at various religious gatherings and procession on Milad un Nabi to be celebrated on Tuesday.
A procession is planned by the Sunni United Forum of India (SUFI) from Falaknuma to Moghalpura playground via Charminar and Pathergatti, in which around 5,000 people are expected to participate. Similarly, several religious programs and meetings, blood donation camps, food camps and other activities are also planned.
The religious leaders appealed to the youngster to maintain discipline while participating in the procession and obey traffic rules. The police are making elaborate security arrangements by deploying police pickets at communally sensitive areas and places of religious significance.
