Karimnagar: Mild tension prevailed at the district headquarters bus stand when leaders of some political parties objected to the ruling TRS activists from joining in JAC’s protest demonstration observed as part of Bharath bandh on Tuesday.
Trouble began when TRS leaders arrived at the dharna spot and tried to join other political parties to extend support to Bharath bandh.
However, TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar objected the TRS leaders to join the protest and said that the latter had no moral right to join bandh, leading to jostling between the two groups. Police who were deployed at the spot swung into action and brought the situation under control by pacifying the clashing groups.
