HYDERABAD: Mild tension prevailed at a polling station in Shaikpet of Jubilee Hills assembly constituency on Tuesday when a group of Congress workers prevented BRS leaders and MLC Dasoju Shravan and RS Praveen Kumar from reviewing the election process.
According to reports, the incident took place at Apex High School in Samatha colony when the BRS leaders came to the polling station. The Congress party workers objected to the BRS leaders’ presence and raised slogans.
The police immediately swung into action and resorted to a mild lathi charge to disperse the gathering. The higher-ups beefed up police presence in the area.
