Mild tension in Yousufguda as BRS protests alleged bogus voting by Congress
Tension flared in Hyderabad’s Yousufguda area on Tuesday evening when BRS leaders, including MLA P Kaushik Reddy and candidate Maganti Sunitha, staged a protest alleging fraudulent voting by Congress supporters. The protest erupted after reports of non-local women allegedly camping at a function hall to cast bogus votes.
Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Yousufguda on Tuesday evening when BRS leaders staged a protest alleging bogus voting by the Congress party.
Upon receiving information that scores of women were camping at Mahmood Function Hall, Yousufguda, the BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha reached the spot and asked the police to remove all of them. She said that the women had come from other places to cast bogus votes.
Soon, , along with BRS workers, rushed to the spot and staged a protest demanding action. Swinging into action, senior police officers dispersed the gathering and forcibly removed Sunitha and Kaushik Reddy from the spot.
Meanwhile, tense moments were witnessed at Jubilee Hills on Tuesday evening after Chinna Srisailam Yadav, father of Congress candidate V Naveen Yadav, assaulted a man reportedly belonging to the BRS party.
The incident occurred when a group of people were protesting and raising slogans against the Congress party prompting Srinivas Yadav to get angry and assault the man.
The video of the aggressive behavior of Srisailam Yadav went viral on social media platforms. The citizens urged the police to initiate action against him.
