Hyderabad: Mindy Kaling became a household name after the super success of her comedy series ‘The Mindy Project’. Although the show ended back in 2017, the actor is still missing her former co-stars. Sharing a throwback photo with the cast, she wrote on Instagram, “I found this in my favorites in my pics. The gang from Shulman and Associates! We are missing @bethgrantactor and @adam.pally and Chris, but I love these conference room scenes so much. Ed was usually running a meeting and we kept interrupting. Man I miss these guys (sic).”
Mindy is seen along with Ed Weeks, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Xosha Roquemore, Fortune Feimster, Ike Barinholtz, Garret Dillahunt at the Shulman and Associates medical office. “the good ole days!(sic)” commented costume designer Salvador Perez. “So much fun,” wrote Dillahunt. “I miss this so much,” added Rittenhouse.
‘The Mindy Project’ ran from 2012 to 2017 and centred around Mindy Lahiri, an obstetrician and gynaecologist in NYC, who endeavours to develop a well-rounded personality as she tries to get her romantic life on track with the help of her offbeat co-workers. Apart from starring on the show, Mindy was also the creator and one of the producers.
Rittenhouse once told ‘People’ that Mindy is “the best boss you could ever hope to have”. “Mindy’s amazing because she wears so many different hats. She’s a performer, and she’s a writer, and she’s a producer. Her character on Mindy is so … bubbly and kind of silly. And as a person, she’s funny and a funny person, but is also focused and intelligent. She’s such a force,” Rittenhouse added.
