Hyderabad: There is respite from the bitter cold weather conditions for people in Hyderabad and elsewhere in the State as the minimum temperature went up in several districts on Friday.

As per the Telangana Development Planning Society, only three places in the State recorded single digit temperature as against 10 areas on Thursday. The lowest minimum temperature of 8.7 degree Celsius was observed in Kumram Bheem-Asifabad district on Friday as against 8.0 degree Celsius on Thursday. Adilabad and Sangareddy districts recorded minimum temperatures of 9.1 and 9.9 degree Celsius.

As for the areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Serlingampally had the lowest minimum temperature of 11.6 degree Celsius, followed by 13.5 degree Celsius in Ramachandra Puram and Patancheru, and 13.7 degree Celsius in Chandanagar.

The minimum temperatures, as per the Telangana Development Planning Society, are expected to go up two to three degree Celsius during the next two to three days in the State.

As per the India Meteorological Department, a low-pressure area (LPA) is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal around November 22. The LPA is very likely to move north-westwards and intensify into a depression over central parts of south Bay of Bengal around November 24.

This LPA is expected to cause light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places, including Jogulamba Gadwal, Mahabubnagar and Suryapet districts from November 23 to 25.

As for the Hyderabad forecast, the IMD said there would be partly cloudy sky with mist or hazy conditions likely to prevail during the morning or night hours.

Minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 2 degree Celsius to 3 degree Celsius during the next two days. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 31 degree Celsius and 15 degree Celsius respectively, it added.
