Hyderabad: Courting controversy again, Forest Minister Konda Surekha warned that if opposition MLAs criticised Congress Ministers, it would not be tolerated and none would be left if the Congress government booked cases against them.
The Minister also said Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy had “lost his mind”. “There is a mad fellow in Huzurabad. The Huzurabad MLA keeps disrupting the Assembly proceedings by clapping and shouting in the House,” Surekha said.
In an indirect attack on BJP MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy, she said a leader had abused Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
She also defended Ministers directing Collectors to permit Congress leaders in programmes. Ministers would ask Congress candidates, who lost in the elections to work hard and win people’s confidence. But it was not wise to make it a serious issue, she said.
The Forest Minister also alleged that BRS working president KT Rama Rao was abusing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy with objectionable language.
The Minister also alleged that Rama Rao was casting “aspersions” on the Chief Minister by saying that people were being misled over the State finances, especially the loans secured by the Congress government.
The Forest Minister also alleged that the BRS working president was misusing social media and influencing the youth against the Congress government.
