Minister Ponguleti questions purpose of KTR’s Delhi visit
he sought to know whether the BRS leader went to Delhi to plead with the Union Ministers to withdraw the charges levelled against him in Formula-E race funds transfer.
Khammam: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Monday questioned the purpose of BRS working president KT Rama Rao’s ongoing tour in New Delhi.
Speaking to the media at Chinna Venkatagiri in Khammam rural mandal in the district on Monday, he sought to know whether the BRS leader went to Delhi to plead with the Union Ministers to withdraw the charges levelled against him in Formula-E race funds transfer.
Srinivas Reddy alleged that without the approval of the Cabinet and the Chief Minister, Rama Rao had diverted Rs.55 crore to organisations abroad.
The State government has handed over the enquiry into the case of misappropriation of funds in the management of Formula-E racing to the ACB, he said, adding that in order to detain and interrogate a public representative, the Governor’s approval was needed and hence the ACB had sought approval of the Governor.
The Minister also claimed that he had evidence against Rama Rao and repeated his recent statement that a “bomb” was about to explode.
Incidentally, the Minister said there was no response so far from the Governor even after he complained to the Governor about the alleged corruption in Formula-E car race.
