Warangal: Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of works at Kaloji Kalaskhetram in Warangal. He also instructed the tourism officials to complete the Tank Bund beautification works in Mahabubnagar before Telangana formation day next year.
The Minister reviewed the progress of different projects being executed by the tourism department across the State here on Tuesday.
The Minister directed the officials to expedite the construction of Shilparamam, budget hotel and Tank Bund beautification works in Mahabubnagar at the earliest.
He sought details pertaining to Tourism Hotels construction at Kothagudem, Kinnaresani and Karimnagar and instructed the officials to complete the works as per schedule.
Regarding construction of Kaloji Kalaskhetram at Warangal, the Minister expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of works. Deploy more workers and complete the works as per schedule. Further delays will not be tolerated, he told the officials.
The Minister specifically enquired about the progress of Smriti Vanam, which is being constructed and named after former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao.
Telangana government as a means to ensure the welfare of toddy tappers has introduced Neera Policy in the State and no other State in the country has come up with such policy, he said.
“The Neera café being constructed at Necklace Road in Hyderabad should be completed by March 2022,” Srinivas Goud directed the officials.
As per Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s instructions, one play ground and stadium was being constructed in each constituency to promote sports in the State, he said.
Already, 34 stadiums have been constructed and inaugurated for the convenience of sportspersons and construction of another 30 stadiums was being taken up at brisk pace, he added.
