Mahabubnagar: Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy, Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud and other elected public representatives have stressed on the need to strengthen the District Cooperative Central Bank in erstwhile Mahabubnagar district and deliver more efficient services.
At a meeting held with DCCB officials, the Ministers said employees should be trained to deliver more efficient services. If the bank directors extend their support in recovery of loans, then TSCAB is prepared to extend more support, the Ministers informed.
A few instructions were issued to the DCCB directors and officials on recovery of loans. As per the RBI guidelines, auditing should be conducted at specific time.
The Ministers wanted the bank officials to create awareness among farmers on subsidised loans and subsidy policies in their respective jurisdictions and ensure farmers reap the benefits.
The Minister said cooperative societies will develop and prosper only if loans are recovered in time. There are 77 cooperative societies in erstwhile Mahabubnagar district and they can be strengthened only when directors, officials, chairpersons, vice-chairperson work proactively, they said.
