Minor girl attempts to end life during counselling at Haddanur police station
A 17-year-old girl attempted to end her life by consuming an unidentified substance at Haddanur police station while being counselled over a relationship. She was rushed to Zaheerabad government hospital and is said to be stable. Police registered cases against a 19-year-old youth.

Sangareddy: A minor girl attempted suicide by consuming some unidentified poison in Haddanur police station on Friday while she was being counselled by police in a love matter.
According to Police, the 17-year-old girl, daughter of a migrant couple from Andhra Pradesh, was studying intermediate in a local college while her parents were working in a farmhouse close to Haddanur. The girl, who reportedly fell in love with a 19-year -old youth eloped with him a few days ago.
However, the police traced the couple and brought them to the police station. Since she was a minor, the police tried to convince the girl to stay with her parents. The stubborn girl, who wanted to stay with the youth, picked up a poison bottle from her bag and tried to consume it when a police personnel acted swiftly and pushed it aside.
Meanwhile, the girl consumed a small amount of poison. She was rushed to the government hospital in Zaheerabad for treatment. Her condition is said to be stable. The police said that the girl attempted suicide with a plan to force the police to allow her to stay with the youth. Police registered SC, ST Atrocity, POCSO, Rape and Kidnap case against the youth.
